I am excited to announce that I have been selected for participating in close Mentorship with a mentor from the Triangle region through a competitive application process. The application reviews and decisions were made by a panel of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics faculty and the Mentorship and Research team. Decisions were based on Semester 1 progress report grades, your final semester grades, common and specific-opportunity application essays, the provided resume, attendance, and disciplinary records.

I will be preparing for my 5-week research experience through the spring semester and will stay in Durham for the duration of my 5-week program. I am excited to be able to participate in research and work on developing essential skills, both technical and personal over the next semester and summer!
