Artificial Intelligence is one of the FASTEST growing fields. Predicted to grow in market size by over 15x over the next 20 years, AI has applications in many fields. With software such as ChatGPT, we can gain insight into linguistics and productivity. But AI can give us insight into so much more.
It can revolutionize healthcare. From quicker diagnosis to drug discovery based on protein similarities to personalized medication, the field of health care can become extremely effective with the addition of AI.
AI can identify breast cancer, examine cardiac MRI images, interpret X-rays in emergency departments, monitor lung nodules, diagnose brain tumors, and detect strokes. In fact, an AI algorithm can detect breast cancer with a 95% success rate, on par with a radiologist. Using advanced data analysis techniques and the speed of a computer, AI can effectively and correctly diagnose a variety of diseases before a human can. This has many implications as quicker diagnoses mean quicker treatments which can possibly save lives.
