I’m Sanijta Srinath. I started this blog in 2022 as a way just to write down things I was noticing around me, call it a digital journal of sorts. I wanted this blog to be a collection of snippets of stories that showcase the world around us and maybe spark some important conversations down the line.
You might notice that this blog is tied (almost fundamentally) to issues revolving around technology, AI, and other related fields. I’ve been passionate about STEM for ages now, whether that has been building robots, tutoring kids in math, or even just reading a couple of news articles a week on new developments. I tried (and hopefully succeeded) to imbue this blog with that passion. Thank you for joining me on my journey! 🙂
What’s driving my journey?
I have a passion for solving these fundamental human needs and I am fascinated by how machines and data can help create new opportunities for humanity as a whole.
Intrigued by the possibility to solve planet-scale issues, particularly biological in nature, through the applications of electronics, technology, and data science, I am interested in gaining a strong, unmovable foundation in basic engineering concepts, biology, and coding. I am seeking to pursue higher education and a career in researching the intersection of engineering and biological sciences.
I am currently a dual-enrolled student at Weddington High School and the North Carolina School of Science and Math. Through a competitive application-based process to NCSSM’s Mentorship program, I conducted research at the Viventi Lab in neuro-engineering at Duke University.
Outside of school, I lead the governmental and community outreach subteams within my robotics team. I delegate to North Carolina officials to advocate for increased public funding for robotics teams within the state. Additionally, I serve as a student ambassador for NCSSM serving over 200 incoming students and countless potential students.
